Judith Beck 'Ink'
PRAISE
A mysterious Austrian natural wine with wild, untamed flavours that dance between elegant and rebellious.
- Description
- Grapes, Region, etc.
This is your summer red alert. "INK" is a juicy, lip-smacking blend of Zweigelt and St. Laurent that drinks like a chilled whisper of Austrian twilight. There's dark cherry, plum skin, and a lick of peppery spice, all wrapped in a silken texture with enough wildness to keep things interesting. Judith Beck farms biodynamically and vinifies naturally-this red is unfiltered and unvarnished in the best possible way. It's got the bounce of Beaujolais with the savory core of something a bit more serious. Think: black cherries, violets, wet clay, and a little funk for edge.
Judith Beck took over her family estate in 2004 and immediately leaned into a more holistic, low-intervention approach. Based in Gols, near Lake Neusiedl, she transitioned the estate to biodynamic farming and became a leading voice in Austria's natural wine movement. She works mostly with native Austrian grapes and believes in wines that reflect their origin and energy without interference. INK is one of her flagship reds and an introduction to her philosophy: fruit-driven, fresh, and free.
