There’s more than a bit of razzle dazzle to this bright, medium-bodied red from family-owned winery Echeverria in the hot, arid climate of the Central Valley. The ‘No Es Pituko’ wines explore their pre-phylloxera vines, many of them over 100 years old. Made with no added sulphur, this is rich but surprisingly fresh— squished cherry on cedar, vanilla bean & cellar earth with a touch of funk & a whiff of mint. Proves that Cab Sauv is not just for bistro steaks!
