Te Mãnia Sauvignon Blanc
PRAISE
A Kiwi charmer that zings with tropical fruit fireworks and grassy freshness, like biting into a lime while lounging in a herb garden.

Our first encounter with this wine was one of those moments that reminds us why we love what we do. The aromatics immediately drew us in with their bright citrus, gooseberry, and green apple notes, layered with fresh herbs that seemed to capture the essence of a summer garden. As we tasted, we found ourselves nodding in collective appreciation for how the wine delivered on its aromatic promise, filling our palates with delicious citrus and passion fruit flavours while maintaining that crisp gooseberry and green apple backbone we'd first encountered on the nose. What struck us most was the wine's mineral edge that grounded all that vibrant fruit, creating a balance that felt both natural and purposeful. The wine's presence commanded attention without being heavy, and we knew we'd discovered a wine that delivers both complexity and pure drinking pleasure.
Te Mania (the Maori name for "The Plains") is a family-owned organic winery from Nelson, located near the beautiful coastline of Tasman Bay. Their vineyards flourish on the ancient alluvial terraces through which rivers flow from the mountains to the sea. These stony soils, combined with Nelson's cool maritime climate and high sunshine hours, produce grapes and wines of the finest quality. The Nelson region is one of the New World's finest cool-climate, wine producing areas.
